May has two big recognitions, it’s the national month of barbecue and Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday of the month. There is no better way to celebrate these two events than with Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue and our special helping hams organization the Virginia War Memorial Educational foundation. Every Monday in May from 6 to 10 p.m, Buz and Ned’s will donate ten percent of our proceeds to the Virginia War Memorial Educational Foundation.
History is brought to life at the VA War memorial, from all day informational seminars, to educational video productions. At the seminars, guests have the opportunity to discuss events with people who were present during major historical happenings in America. The Virginia War Memorial’s mission is “honoring veterans, preserving history, educating youth and inspiring patriotism in all.” Let us all join in for a great cause this month, education.
Get your families involved with this initiative. Stop by our Boulevard and Broad Street locations on Monday evenings between 6 and 10 pm. 10% of the proceeds from all dine-in or carry-out orders will go to this local nonprofit that is educating our youth about Virginia history.
