Helping Hams wants to help out Keep Virginia Beautiful. Buz and Ned’s is the place to be every Monday night for Helping Hams, a weekly charity evening at Buz’s restaurants on Boulevard and Broad Street. Ten percent of every order, dine-in or carry out, from 6 to 10 p.m. every Monday will be donated to a different organization. This week we’re helping out Keep Virginia Beautiful.
In the spring of 1953, the Virginia Anti-Litterbug Council was formed. The purpose of the council was to encourage proper disposal of all trash in the recommended containers. Keep America Beautiful was a campaign created by the council to fight litter on a national level. The campaign was used as a testing ground for possible future campaigns. In 1956, the Virginia Ant-Litterbug Council became Keep Virginia Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
Step up and help us support a local nonprofit organization! Stop by for dinner at our Boulevard and Broad Street locations this Monday night and Buz will take care of the rest. Don’t forget – 10 percent of all purchases made between 6 to 10 p.m. will be donated to Keep Virginia Beautiful with your purchase, you will be one of Buz’s #helpinghams.
